Beware, you could be insulin resistant, and one step away from diabetes. Insulin resistance affects one in three Americans, and it occurs when insulin action is slowed, accumulating glucose in the blood. In cases where the diagnosis recommends treatment, it is possible to reverse.

Discover the 5 steps of the Nutritional Guide to Decrease Insulin Resistance, and reverse your condition!

First, intermittent fasting. Inhibiting glucose intake activates the hormone glucagon, initiating fat burning. Start with 12 hours of fasting three days a week. Important: breaking the fast should only occur with natural, low-carb foods.

Balanced eating is the second step. Exclude processed foods, eat good quality protein, fruits, vegetables or tubers, and consume nutrient-dense foods, excluding foods with added sugar.

The third step is regular exercise. Strength exercises increase muscle mass, which improves insulin sensitivity.

Improving the quality of your sleep is the fourth step. Avoid bringing devices to bed and don't drink caffeine-rich drinks after five in the afternoon.

Drinking lots of water is the last step. Did you know that you should drink 37 milliliters of water for every pound of weight? Every person has their own need for water.
